Hypertension has become a Significant problem during the World, particularly in developing countries like Iran. Because it is a significant risk factor for coronary heart disease, even tiny reductions in the prevalence could have potentially substantial population health benefits. Among the complementary methods, massage for women gives a powerful way to reduce blood pressure. If physicians comprehend the adventures of hypertensive patients becoming massage, they could use massage effectively in their maintenance plan.
Materials and Methods:
This is a descriptive phenomenological study. In-depth Interviews were conducted by nine prehypertensive women who received Swedish massage three times a week at several ten sessions, with each session lasting 10 15 min. Afterward, the researcher ran an interview utilizing a’grand tour question (open-ended question), and the participants were subsequently invited to talk openly describing their thoughts and opinions about the experience of massage. Data analysis was achieved by Colaizzi’s method. Validity and reliability have been obtained through measures like real value, applicability, persistence, and credibility.
Women evaluated massage therapy positively. The findings Yielded six topics, including comfort, sleeping better, a decrease of stress and anxiety, reduction of fatigue, invigorating experience, improve connecting.
This research demonstrates a body-centered intervention. Like massage may be valuable in a multidisciplinary approach to women using prehypertension. This method is easy to learned & relatively short (10-15 min) to administer as a suitable complement in nursing care for this type of patients.
